30SIX Golf Terms of Play

We pride ourselves at 30SIX GOLF on Trust & Integrity. 


• All rounds are played using the Stableford scoring system in accordance with the Rules of Golf (R&A)

• Players must hold a valid official handicap (WHS) at the time of play

• Handicaps used will be the player’s current course handicap on the day of the round

• Scorecards submitted must be attested and approved

• Players must submit scorecards via the website/email within 48 hours of attested to be counted in the league

• Scorecards can be submitted anytime within the active league dates

• In the event of a unsubmitted scorecard within the round timeframe - zero points will be given. 

• Once a scorecard has been submitted it cannot be replaced

• Any rules disputes must be raised before submitting the scorecard

• Failure to submit a score correctly may result in disqualification for that round/league

• No practice shots permitted on the course before competitive rounds

• Preferred lies / local rules apply only if officially declared by the course

• Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in penalty points or removal from the league/final

• Any suspected handicap manipulation will be reviewed by league organisers

• The league organiser’s decision is final in all disputes

• Stableford points limited to 40 max. Rounds above this will be rounded down. 


In the event of a league tie:

• Countback: back 9, then last 6, last 3, last hole

• If still tied, stroke index Countback: SI1, SI2,SI3 etc

• If still tied, lowest handicap wins

• League organiser’s decision is final

(Applies to all active Leagues and League Finals)



 

Fair Play & Handicap Policy


1. Purpose

This Policy outlines the rules governing handicap use and fair play in the Competition.

  • The Competition is committed to:
  • Ensuring fair competition for all players
  • Protecting the integrity of the game
  • Applying handicap rules consistently
  • Preventing handicap manipulation
  • Enforcing the rules fairly and without bias
     

This Policy applies to all players.


2. Governing Rules

The Competition is conducted in accordance with:

  • The Rules of Golf as issued by The R&A and United States Golf Association
  • The World Handicap System (WHS)
  • Any additional Competition rules issued by the Committee
     

In the event of any conflict, the Competition rules and this Policy will take precedence.


3. Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • All players participating in the Competition
  • All qualifying and final rounds 
  • Any Competition round in which handicaps are used
     

It covers handicap eligibility, verification, monitoring, and enforcement.


4. Handicap Requirements

4.1 Valid Handicap

All players must hold a valid WHS Handicap Index that:

  • Is active and up to date 
  • Reflects recent scoring history 
  • Can be verified through an official handicap system
     

4.2 Maximum Handicap

The maximum Handicap Index permitted for entry is:

4.3 Player Responsibility

Players are responsible for:

  • Maintaining an accurate and current handicap 
  • Submitting all scores correctly and promptly 
  • Ensuring their handicap reflects their demonstrated ability
     

5. Handicap Verification

Before the Competition

The Committee reserves the right to:

  • Verify handicaps through official databases 
  • Review recent scoring history 
  • Request supporting information where necessary
     

During the Competition

The Committee may monitor:

  • Round-by-round scoring 
  • Performance trends 
  • Any unusual or exceptional results
     

Handicap Adjustments

If the Committee determines that a player’s Handicap Index does not accurately reflect their current ability, it may apply an adjustment at its discretion.


6. Handicap Manipulation

Handicap manipulation includes, but is not limited to:

  • Failing to submit scores 
  • Submitting incorrect or incomplete scores 
  • Deliberately inflating a handicap 
  • Playing from incorrect tees 
  • Any attempt to unfairly influence a Handicap Index
     

Breaches of handicap rules may result in disciplinary action.


7. Investigation

The Committee may:

  • Investigate suspected breaches of this Policy 
  • Review score history and related data 
  • Request information from players 
  • Consult relevant handicap authorities
     

Players are required to cooperate fully with any investigation.


8. Penalties

Penalties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Handicap adjustment 
  • Score correction 
  • Disqualification from a round 
  • Disqualification from the Competition 
  • Forfeiture of prizes 
  • Suspension from future events 
  • Reporting to relevant golf authorities
     

Penalties may be applied after the conclusion of the Competition where appropriate.


9. Appeals

Players may appeal a decision by submitting a written request within 48 hours of notification.

Appeals will be reviewed by a separate Committee panel.
All appeal decisions are final.


10. Confidentiality

All handicap information and investigations will be handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.


11. Player Information

The Competition will:

  • Provide clear guidance on handicap requirements 
  • Publish this Policy in advance of the Competition
     

Players are responsible for understanding and complying with this Policy.


12. Amendments

The Committee reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time.
Any updates will be communicated to players.


13. Agreement

By entering the Competition, players confirm that they:

  • Have read this Policy 
  • Understand its contents 
  • Agree to comply with its terms
